Two wounded in separate shootings

cgs-9Basseterre, St. Kitts, 18th May, 2017 (MyVueNews.com) - Two men received gunshot injuries in two separate incidents that occurred in St. Paul’s Village on Wednesday, 17th May, 2017.

 

According to the Police, the Violent Crimes Unit responded to to an incident that initial investigations indicated that in the first incident, an unknown assailant approached the victim and fired a gunshot while he was sitting on his verandah in the Rawlins Housing area. The victim was grazed by the bullet.

 

It is understood that the assailant ran from the scene.

 

The victim was taken to the JNF General Hospital for treatment.

 

Police also are investigating an incident of another shooting in St. Paul’s, in which the victim was treated at the Pogson Hospital.

 

Police indicated that the victim was shot after he was attacked by two masked men in the vicinity of a shop. During the incident, he was shot in the shoulder and the right side of his body.

 

He was later transferred to the JNF General Hospital for further treatment.
