Heading-to-AnguillaBasseterre, St. Kitts, 13th September, 2017 (MyVueNews.com) - Prime Minister Dr. Timothy Harris is in Anguilla as part of a delegation of the OECS Monetary Council meeting on matters related to the impact of Hurricane Irma on the banking sector and fiscal issues on the island.

But he is also taking the opportunity to meet St. Kitts and Nevis nationals shortly after midday, on Wednesday, 13th September, at Freedom Park, to hear their concerns in the aftermath of the category 5 hurricane that struck the island.

Harris will also get a first-hand look at the damage inflicted upon Anguilla.

The Prime Minister left St. Kitts Wednesday morning accompanied by Minister of Public Infrastructure Ian Patches Liburd and ECCB Governor Timothy Antoine.

However, the main St. Kitts and Nevis delegation to visit Anguilla will arrive there on Thursday, headed by Foreign Affairs Minister Mark Brantley for a fuller assessment of the needs of nationals living in Anguilla. Brantley will also visit St. Maarten on a similar mission.
