Basseterre, St. Kitts, (Thursday 3rd May, 2012)-A special gospel concert is to be staged in Basseterre later this week, featuring one of the top local religious groups coming out of Nevis. The concert, which will feature the Dore Brothers, will see proceeds from the event being used to benefit the Dore Brothers Community Outreach Projects and is therefore being hosted as a much needed fundraiser for their charity work, said a spokesman.
The Dore Brothers comprise three accomplished artistes and musicians, including Allister and Wrenford Dore, who will share glimpses of their personal experiences having battled with visual disabilities all their lives. The third brother, Lanny, will share insights to the Dore’s Family Heritage and their mother’s Faith in God.
Fans and those in attendance are being assured that they will be thrilled by their harmonious and inspirational singing.
The evening’s proceedings will be videotaped for inclusion in a Video Documentary Project being undertaken by the Dore Brothers which will highlight their family’s heritage, and in particular, their mother–having raised eight children as a single parent.
The concert is scheduled for Friday 4th May, 2012, at the Wesley Methodist Church Hall, Victoria Road, Basseterre, St Kitts and is being held under the theme, “THE DORE BROTHERS – UP CLOSE & PERSONAL”. It starts at 7:30pm.
