Miss Talented Teen Siobhan Phipps Off to Anguilla for Regional Contest

Basseterre, St. Kitts-The parade of regional queen pageants that will attract the participation of winners of the 2010/2011 Sugar Mas, is about to commence, with the Anguillian version of the Caribbean talented Teen pageant.
The reigning Miss Talented Teen, Siobhan Phipps, from the Immaculate Conception Catholic School, ICCS, is this weekend travelling to the Valley Anguilla to match her skills against other talented teenage representatives from the region.
The show, which had not been held for some years, is now making a comeback and will now be hosted on Saturday 21st May, 2011.
Organizers indicated that they have decided to stage the event again, because of the outpouring of support and demand from fans throughout the region, to see the contest back on the calendar of regional competitions.
Ms. Phipps will now compete against other regional reigning talented teens in where they will be judged in four categories; Promotional Speech, Talent, Evening Wear and Onstage Interview.
During the St. Kitts & Nevis Carnival Talented Teen Pageant last December, Ms. Lloyd took the awards for Best Ambassadorial Speech and Best Interview.
She captured the crown from a field of eight contestants, including her first cousin, who placed First Runner Up, on December 27th 2010,
The Ministry of Community Development, Culture and Gender Affairs as well as the National Carnival Committee extend best wishes to Ms. Phipps as she journeys to Anguilla this weekend.
