Basseterre, St. Kitts, 17th February, 2017 (MyVueNews.com) - Patrick Howell, Jr, of Cane Garden, Nevis, was given up to a six-year sentence for offenses committed in June 2016.
According to the Police, Howell was arrested and charged last year for the possession of a firearm and ammunition, as well as a charge of smuggling a firearm.
He was sentenced to two years in prison for the charge of Smuggling, five years for the charge of possession of ammunition and six years for the charge of Possession of a firearm. The sentences will run concurrently.
Superintendent Trevor Mills, the head of the Nevis Division, said, "I want to commend the officers who were involved in this case, as well as the Prosecutors. This conviction shows that when caught you will be held accountable."
