Police arrest and charge suspect in Mills murder case

Omax-ByeBasseterre, St. Kitts, 19th May, 2017 (MyVueNews.com) - Police has arrested and charged Omax Bye, 31, of Upper Shaw Avenue, McKnight, for the murder of businessman Gregory Mills.

 

Bye was taken into Police custody early in its investigations of the murder committed on 9th May, 2017.

 

Mills was shot and killed as he drove through an area of Gillard Meadows.

 

Police indicate they are looking for a second individual.

 

Assistant Commissioner of Police Mr. Andre Mitchell commended investigators on their work on the case.

 

He said, "I want to commend the investigators and the Forensic Services Unit for their work on this case so far.  I also want to thank all who provided information, as it related to this case. The courage to come forward is appreciated."

 

ACP Mitchell commented on how important information provided by residents can be in solving criminal cases.

 

Mitchell said, "We continue to encourage the general public to come forward with information regarding criminal activity. Sometimes the information the public may have is what is needed to make a break in an investigation."
