Police investigating shooting incident

Invest-919Basseterre, St. Kitts, 22nd September, 2017 (MyVueNews.com) - While persons were focused on preparing for Hurricane Maria, a young man turned up at the JNF General Hospital with gunshot wounds.

 

According to information released by the Police, the man was shot on the 18th September in Shadwell Estate, then made his way to the hospital. Police confirmed that the shooting is under investigation.

 

The hospital notified the Police Police after the man arrived seeking treatment for his wounds.

 

The man’s upper body gunshot wounds were not life threatening, Police stated.

 

It is understood that Crime Scene officers went to Shadwell Estate to investigate and gather forensic evidence.

 

Meanwhile, Police request that anyone who can provide information should contact them.
