Police-vehicle-x2Basseterre, St. Kitts, Thursday 12th October, 2017, (MyVueNews.com) – Just when the people of St. Kitts and Nevis were starting to appreciate the quiet period that was free from homicides, gun men have decided to re-start their activities.

In the past week, police have had to be responding to a number of incidents involving guns and other acts of violent crime using other weapons, such as a knife.

On Friday, 6th October, David "Putty" Wilkinson was killed in Old Road, while three days later, on Monday 9th October, Mervin Paul met his death in Cayon, and now his brother is in custody for the incident.

Now, the latest of these violent type activities was on Wednesday morning, (11th October).

Police say they were called to investigate a shooting incident that occurred just after 6:00am in Back Street, St. Paul’s, a rural town on the north western part of St. Kitts.

It is believed, from what police have shared with the media, that two masked men fired multiple shots at a male resident of the area.

Thankfully, according to the police, no one was injured.

While investigations are continuing, the police are once again calling on the public for their assistance, with any information they may have regarding the incident.
