Police High Command condemns false rumour

COP-IQBasseterre, St. Kitts, 18th October, 2017 (MyVueNews.com) - The Public Relations Office of the Police Force issued a statement Tuesday afternoon(18th October) condemning a widely circulating rumour that an officer had been shot and is in a coma.

 

In response to the rumour, the High Command issued a statement statement that reads in part, “The High Command of the RSCNPF takes this opportunity to inform the public that this information is false.  All police-related matters will be communicated to the public by the RSCNPF through its media partners and on its official social media platforms.”

 

The circulating rumour is captioned, “Police Officer Gun Down And In A Coma”.

 

According to the information provided, the Police High Command is strongly encouraging persons to verify the sources of information in order to ensure that it is credible.

 

The release further states, “All members of society have a responsibility to make certain that messages received are not passed along if they are not accurate or truthful.”
