Search for Calypso semi-finalists continues Monday night

Calypso-Round-2Basseterre, St. Kitts, 4th December, 2017 (MyVueNews.com) - In keenly contested Calypso Eliminations, the federation’s calypsonians are vying for a spot in the 16 positions that are available for the Calypso Semi-Finals for Sugar Mas 46.

 

Tonight, Monday, 4th December at 6 pm, Carnival Village, calypsonians from the Proud Sound Calypso Tent and the Legends Calypso Tent, will attempt to impress the judges to mark in their favour.

 

The calypsonians will be judged on Lyrics 40 points, Music 30 points and for Performance 30 points, for a total of 100 points.

 

Monday night’s elimination contest is round two of a two-part show, in which the second round, originally scheduled for Sunday, 3rd December, was postponed because of a rainstorm.

 

Entry price at the gate is $40.

The Semi Finals is slated for Sunday, 17th December, while the Finals will be held on Friday, 29th December.
