Miss Universe in Jamaica

Reigning Miss Universe, Angolan Leila Lopes arrived in Jamaica yesterday afternoon ahead of the Miss Universe Jamaica 2012 finals, slated to take place this evening at the National Indoor Centre.
Miss Universe was met on arrival at the Norman Manley International Airport (NMIA) by Miss Universe Jamaica franchise holder Dimitris Kosvogiannis; Damion Crawford, state minister in the Ministry of Tourism and Entertainment; Charmaine DaCosta, vice-president of human resources at Caribbean Airlines, and Bijoux Director Anup Chandiram.
Ahead of her departure from the airport to the Spanish Court Hotel, she was fêted in the Kingston Pineapple Lounge. Naturally, the gorgeous 5ft 10 1/2 inches beauty queen received luxury transportation courtesy of ATL Motors.
Lopes, who will crown the winner of the Miss Jamaica Universe pageant
tonight at the National Indoor Sports Centre in Kingston, met Prime
Minister Portia Simpson Miller and Opposition
Leader Andrew Holness yesterday evening. She is scheduled to leave the
island tomorrow after a hectic schedule of activities that will include
tours of visitor attractions in Kingston.
