Basseterre, St. Kitts, (Friday 1st June, 2012)-The Central Basseterre neighbourhood of Mc Knight was on Thursday night rocked with another killing, this time, the murder of a young barber, known as Dale Whattley, or Hot Boy, as he was more fondly called.
Local police indicated that at about 9:30pm on the 31st May 2012 officers of the RSCNPF responded to a report of shooting in the Mc Knight area.
On arrival at the scene, said the police Whattley was found wounded lying in an alley at upper Shaw Avenue. He was pronounced dead by the District Medical Officer and crime scene technicians undertook their routine processing of the crime scene. The police have promised that as investigations develop, more information would be provided to the public.
This now brings to eight, the number of persons killed so far in St. Kitts and Nevis in 2012.
