Second Test between West Indies and Sri Lanka Drawn

Victory for St. Pauls and Newtown in the SKNFA Digicel Premier Division League

Football_ImageBasseterre, St. Kitts – Defending champions TDC Newtown United and former champions S.L Horsford St. Pauls both recorded victories in the SKNFA/Digicel Premier Division league football matches played on Thursday November 25th at the Warner Park Stadium, Basseterre.

Both teams seemed to have the same game plan for their opponents as the games finished with a one goal victory margin.

In game one, S.L. Horsford St. Pauls played Coury's Gatorade Conaree which resulted in a 3-2 win for St. Pauls.

Kishorne Warde scored twice for the former champions in the 42nd & 55th minute while Terrence Warde converted in the 52nd.

Errol O'Loughlin scored both goals for Conaree, finding the back of the net in the 34th & 61st minutes.

Then in game two, with the same attacking game play as St. Pauls, Newtown United defeated UDC Garden Hotspurs 3-2.

Akeem Francis in the 53rd, Malivia Harris 85th and kadeem Inniss’ 88th minute goals ensured victory for the defending champions.

UDC Garden Hotspurs’ two goals came from Ray Clarke in the 65th and Tishan Hanley in the 83rd minute.

Four games are scheduled for the upcoming weekend in the SKNFA/Digicel Premier League to be played at Warner Park football stadium.

On Saturday at 6:00pm St. Peters vs KFC Trinity/Challengers and at 8:00pm, Rams Village Superstars vs Coury's Gatorade Conaree.

The other two games to be played on Sunday will feature UDC Garden Hotspurs vs St.Thomas/Trinity Strikers at 5.00 pm and at 7:00pm, S.L Horsford St. Pauls vs Mantab.

   

Bad Light Continues to Interfere with West Indies Vs Sri Lanka 2nd Test Match
