Mavado Biography



David Constantine Brooks was raised in Kingston, Jamaica's Cassava Piece community. His grandmother gave him his first musical experience at a young age, bringing him to church to sing.

Etchell Harvey


EtchellEtchell Harvey is a 20-year-old vibrant and determined young lady.

She attended the CFB College in 2012 and completed her Associates Degree in Office Administration Management Studies; and completed a three-month course at UWI in St. Kitts and achieved the certificates in Customer Services, Effective Public Speaking & Presentation Skills and Personal Finances Workshop.

She is currently working at the Ministry of International Trade, Industry, Commerce & Consumer Affairs.

During her spare time she enjoys listening to music and having fun with friends.

Etchell is enticed in becoming a more advantageous and motivating individual amongst her people.


Jacynthia Teshiera


JacynthiaJacynthia Teshiera is the epitome of authentic art and rhythmic poetry, a person who dwells on the belief that self-indulgence procreates an environment for confidence. It is with this dominant attribute, she musters up the courage to be resilient and persistent in all her efforts. Jacynthia is a former Architecture graduate at the CFBC with the passion to redefine the description of building artistry. Jacynthia hails from the community of St Peter’s, and lends her time and efforts to a charitable organization and is an active member of the Reach for Recovery Breast Cancer Foundation. She believes that in the midst of chaos, it is potent that we reach out to those who are desirous of our love and attention. Like the long flowing curls in her kinky fro, Jacynthia possesses an electrifying yet exuberant personality like no other.

Jacynthia has made several appearances at local fashion shows where she expresses her love for the stage. She graced the cover of Zen Magazine out of Africa and got a personal spread in SHE Caribbean magazine, Page 32. She was a promotional model for Viva Caribbean in 2012 and was the face of Nevis fashion week 2012 entitled ‘Untamed’. When placed in front of the camera a whole new world is awakened, she becomes visual poetry, a living testimony of walking art. She lives by two quotes; ‘What you do not have in natural talent you can make up for in discipline’ and ‘anything worth doing is worth doing well’. Jacynthia Teshiera embraces the beauty in every dull situation and believes that for each moonlight, there will be a brighter sunlight. She is a lioness, effortlessly graceful at every step towards something different. There is ferocity within her that she does not wish to tame and has no intentions of pacifying. 


Alexandra Velazquez


AlexandraAlexandra Velazquez is a 22-year-old native of Puerto Rico, who is currently a Veterinary Medicine student at Ross University here in St. Kitts. She was born and raised in Puerto Rico and graduated from Pre-veterinary at the University of Puerto Rico at Mayaguez. Her passions include music, singing and playing over 6 different instruments, sports, modeling and volunteer work. To this date shee holds the title for Miss Yauco Universe Puerto Rico 2016 and is also a modeling instructor for Miss St. Kitts Regal International.

She aspires to be a successful bovine/feline theriogeneologistworking alongside the world’s most renowned industries and companies,and to contribute to the scientific community. As a Puerto Rican, she says she loves the Caribbean life, the beach, the climate, the food and the people. She loves to travel, learn new cultures and meet new people. It is an honor, she says, to be part of the St. Kitts Music Festival and to be able to contribute to the tourism as an ambassador of the beautiful and exotic island that is Saint Kitts.
