More Celebrity News ►► Watch Jared Leto's SAG Speech ►► The 2014 SAG awards kicked off with another win for Hollywood newcomer Lupita Nyong'o and Clevver's Trophy Life coverage has your first look: Nyong'o, who earlier this week took home a Critics Choice Movie Award, won the SAG award for outstanding performance by a supporting actress for her role in 12 Years a Slave. While her fellow nominees included Jennifer Lawrence and Oprah Winfrey, it seemed the 30 year old actress was more shocked than they were when it was announced that she won. In a moving and breathless speech, she thanked Solomon Northup, the real-life inspiration for the film for a "life well lived." She also honored her British director Steve McQueen who chose her after auditioning 1,000 actresses. She thanked her cast, and even her alma mater Yale School of drama for her training. She closed her speech by saying that when she was first cast, she immediately called her father for this: What an adorable anecdote. Her's was not the only memorable speech of the evening. So was Jared Leto's who won for his inspiring performance as a transvestite with AIDS in the film Dallas Buyers Club. Definitely click on the video to enjoy his speech.
